back-to-back

下午，在群里聊天的时候，木子意说了一句：“ i was pretty busy this morning, had two back-to-back meetings。”

我听了愣了一下， 背靠背的会议？这是啥会议啊？

木子意回答说是一个接一个的会议。

我去查了一下字典，原来back-to-back有几个不同的解释。


back to back
[*]if two people stand back to back, they stand with their backs facing or touching each other 背靠背；背对背
[*]if two or more things happen back to back, they happen one after the other 接连地；接二连三
[*]Back-to-back wins or victories are victories that are gained one after another without any defeats between them. ADJ usu ADJ n[*][*]...their first back-to-back victories of the season.


back-to-back
[*]a house in a row of houses which share walls with the houses on each side and behind 连排式房屋（侧面和背面相连接） noun British English
